Welding robots and artificial intelligence are increasingly contributing to the advancements taking place in welding technology to address challenges such as welding parameter tuning, defect detection, path planning and weld consumables. SciTech Patent Art (SPA) conducted a quick study to understand how leading companies are addressing these problems.

SPA’s report summarizes the different solutions provided by companies such as Lincoln Electric, Daihen Corp and EWM, along with products that address some of these challenges. The report also covers software developers, start-ups and recent collaborations in the area of intelligent welding.
