Client: The client is a manufacturing and research company in fine particles and also a global supplier of fine chemicals to various industries.
Business Context: One of our client’s customers who had been procuring fine chemicals from our client had a specific problem. The customer approached our client for a technology solution. Our client wanted to conduct a technology landscape study and identify white spaces to explore solutions to the problem. Our client engaged SciTech Patent Art (SPA) to conduct a technology search in the specific application area.
SPA Approach: The search results were analyzed with respect to various technology parameter and application areas. SPA played the role of an advisor to the client. SPA provided suggestions to the client by identifying technology parameters and defining a strategy for the study. The results were presented in an easy-to-use database. The visualized presentation of white space analysis offered client ideas to various technology solutions.
Turnaround Time: The project was completed in desired time frame for the client. The project needed in-depth analysis to identify specific solutions in regard to materials, process and applications. The duration of the study was 5 weeks.
Results: The analyses presented to the client offered solutions in terms of white spaces to identify improvement areas, new research areas and innovative processes to solve the problems of our client’s customer.
